My name is Gretchen Stephens, and I am the Pathways Coach for Oneida Middle & High Schools. The Pathways Coach is responsible for educating and counseling students in the areas of college & career readiness. I am excited to work alongside students as they make important plans for their futures!
I attended Tennessee Tech University, where I obtained a Bachelor of Science (Multidisciplinary Studies) in 1996, and a Master of Arts (Instructional Leadership) in 2000.
I have been in education for 28 years, having taught multiple grade levels. I've also worked as an assistant principal, data specialist, and intervention coordinator. One of my favorite roles at Oneida is working as a reading teacher in the Summer Learning Camps. This is my seventh year at Oneida, and I love being part of the Indian Tribe!
I have two daughters, Clari-Jane and Annalise Newman. Clari-Jane is a graduate of Alice Lloyd College; she is employed at Oneida Middle School. Annalise is a student at Somerset Community College, and she works at South Fork Physical Therapy.
In my free time, I worship at the Helenwood Baptist Church. I enjoy singing with the Highland Harmony Community Chorus and camping and traveling with my family.
